The CZ USA 81353 is the Tactical variant of the SP-01, featuring an ambidextrous decocker to replace the manual safety found in the standard SP-01. It's a proud member of the CZ 75 SP-01 family, which boasts being the first full-size handgun (4.6 bbl) from CZ that showcases improved manufacturing technology and ergonomic design approved by NATO. These enhancements come directly from the CZ 75 Compact P-01 model.
This unique model is equipped with a 1913 accessory rail on its dust cover, rubber grip panels, and a corrosion resistant black polycoat finish. It also features an extended beavertail to ensure the shooter's strong hand is protected. It's made to offer a deeper and more secure grip, using the improved grip geometry from the compact P-01.
Notably, the SP-01's new grip geometry, checkering in key areas on the front and back straps, and mass redistribution from the accessory rail significantly reduces recoil perception. It also enhances rapid target acquisition and transition.
Designed originally as a military and law enforcement duty sidearm, it's now used by security forces in the fight against terrorism. Thanks to its exceptional accuracy and superior handling, the CZ 75 SP-01 has become popular in sport and target shooting circles. Notable users on the competition circuit include World Champions Adam Tyc and Angus Hobdell who respectively ranked 1st and 3rd in the 2005's Ipsc championship World Shoot XIV.
The CZ 75 SP-01 is chambered for 9mm ammunition, with a magazine capacity of 10 and a double stack magazine type. Its frame is crafted from steel, and it features rubber grips. The trigger mechanism is DA/SA, and it sports fixed three-dot sights. Other specs include a cold hammer forged barrel, a barrel length of 4.6 inches, a weight of 40.5oz, an overall length of 8.15 inches, a height of 5.79 inches, and a width of 1.46 inches. For safety, it comes with an ambidextrous decocking lever, safety stop on hammer, and a firing pin block safety.
