The Heckler and Koch 81000093 forms part of the highly-respected VP Series, marking the company's premier line of striker-fired HK since the launch of the P7 series pistols in the 1980s. The functional design of this model is ideal for a range of uses, including civilian sport shooting, security, military, and law enforcement duties. An incorporated striker firing system is perfectly complemented by an improved HK "light pull" trigger.
The integrity of the HK's cold hammer-forged barrel, constructed from cannon grade steel, offers extensive service life. This is further enhanced by the polygonal bore profile that marginally increases muzzle velocity. Acknowledging the needs of all shooters, slide releases have been fitted to both sides of the frame and the paddle-style magazine release can be comfortably activated by both left- and right-handed individuals. A standout feature of the VP series is the HK's patented, rear-mounted charging supports on each side of the slide that offer improved gripping leverage when sliding the rack rearward.
The corrosion-protected, machined steel slide is covered by HK's environmentally-hostile finish, ensuring longevity of all metal components, such as springs and pins, due to exceptional metallurgy. For ease of concealment, the VP SK subcompact models present a more discreet design with a shorter barrel, curtailed Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rail, and a smaller grip frame, while maintaining the bespoke VP grip feature of swapping backstraps and lateral grip panels.
This particular model is provided with 3-Dot sights and a package that includes a flat base and an extended floorplate 10-round magazine.
