The Mossberg 28127 belongs to the Patriot Vortex Scoped Combo series and is laden with distinctive features. It includes drop box magazines, recessed crowns, fluted barrels, and a spiral fluted bolt for enhanced performance. The rifle also includes a streamlined bolt handle, Weaver scope bases, and Mossberg's patented LBA user-adjustable trigger system for easy customization.

Its Crossfire II3-940 Riflescope with Dead-Hold BDC Reticle is perfect for long-range focus. It offers long eye relief and a fast-focus eyepiece. The lens is fully multi-coated for clear and bright viewing under all conditions. The scope is made from tough, hard anodized single-piece aircraft-grade aluminum tube. It is nitrogen purged and o-ring sealed to offer waterproof and fog-proof performance.

The Dead-Hold BDC Reticle comes with a customized hashmark design which aids in eliminating guesswork on holdover and windage corrections. An excellent choice for varying ranges where estimating holdover might pose a challenge.
