This Firearm Will Go Live on The Site for Sale at Noon E.S.T. on Monday Dec 8, 2025. Beautiful Soviet Izhevsk Factory Ex-Dragoon M91 Mosin Nagant Rifle Dated 1928 - This rifle looks great inside and out with a beautiful maple colored laminated wood stock and the highly desirable hex receiver. The stock matches really well to the handguard and is in about as close to 100% condition as you will ever find on any piece of surplus. The bluing is also exceptional and the factory markings showing that it is an Ex-Dragoon are clear and concise. Serial numbers do not factory match, but I have never seen an Ex-Dragoon that does due to the nature of how they dismantled them before putting them back together. Basically, all bolts went in a pile, all mags went in a pile etc. Now many of you may ask " What is an Ex-Dragoon" and that is a fair question. However, it would take too many words to explain it here. Plus, anyone who wants this one will probably have it bought before most could finish the read because they are quite collectible. This is a hex receiver model of course as all Ex-Dragoons are. The bore is not pristine as it is a little dark, but it still shows strong lands and grooves, and it should be a good shooter. The rifle was imported many years ago by Tennessee Guns in Knoxville Tn, and it has a very small almost un-noticeable import stamp on the bottom of the barrel below the cleaning rod. The original serial # is 73418 with a required U.S. re-number of MK7037. I have been proud to have this rifle in my collection and I'm sure that you would enjoy having in yours. I have fired this rifle, and it functions properly and is 100% intact. The rifle ships wrapped in bubble wrap for maximum protection. The M91 Ex-Dragoon Mosin Nagant was the very first true configuration of the Mosin Nagant rifles making this variation rare and hard to find. 7.62x54R cal., bolt-action, 5-shot fixed magazine fed individually or by the use of stripper-clips, with blued finish, 31.5" barrel topped with range-adjustable rear sight and hooded front sight, laminated stock. 51.6 in. OAL, 8.5 lbs. Weight. I kept this one because it was so nice. Now, I'm letting it go. This rifle has been represented here through images and description with 100% accuracy as I know it and if you are not comfortable buying it based on this information Do Not Make the Purchase. All sales are final on this rifle. This rifle is C&R Eligible. The back story. Over the last 30 plus years in the gun business I have acquired some really nice surplus firearms. These guns came from Gun Shows, private collections, and private individuals that I have met along the way, as well as, on occasion, what I would deem as the best of a particular lot when it came in here to Classic. Well, all good things must end and at this point in my life it is time to downsize a little and that includes letting go of some of these "Gun Safe Queens" that I have typically only pulled out to clean ever so often. Now don't get me wrong, there was a time when I would not have even considered giving up one of these firearms as they have been very special to me. However, my daughters show no interest in inheriting them, and I've decided that I would rather see them in the hands of folks that would relish them, than to have them to continue sit in a dark safe here at Classic. Each gun from my private collection is unique and they will sell individually by serial #, so when that gun is gone, it is gone and irreplaceable. At least from me. If you no longer see this rifle in inventory, you will know that it has sold. See more about the rifle below.
