About the condition
A word about the condition - These pistols came to us as "Factory Certified Like New". Now as to what that means exactly, your guess is as good as mine. We were told that these could be pistols that were held out of circulation pending police contracts or potential big box store orders for a period of time, but the orders were never fulfilled and eventually, they were released back to stock, but since they were not technically the current, latest production batch of guns " that they couldn't be sold as new. We were also told that some of these could have been factory refurbished, and if so again, they could not technically be advertised as new. Another source told us that they were simply what they referred to as "New / Old Stock Guns" whatever that means.... but in the same breath, we were again told us to avoid calling them new. Frankly, we just don't know the history on them. But we can describe them based on what we see and what we see is this. Each gun comes shipped in what looks like a new Sig factory box. Inside the case is a Sig P229 that looks at least pretty close to new with a barrel that also looks new meaning that they have sharp lands and grooves and show little to no use. The pistol comes complete with 2 factory mags, complete factory paperwork, and a full factory warranty. We have examined a large number of these and have even compared them, inside and out, to quote " New Guns" and we simply can't tell very much difference. On a few we have seen a couple of very minor scratches but we are convinced that we could have simply sold many of them as New guns and nobody would have known the difference.... but we would have, plus we agreed when we purchased them to call them what we were asked to call them... so there you go.
So what does this condition mean for me?
What this really means simply put, is huge savings! That is right, we purchased them at a lower price point due to their Factory As New certification, and we are passing the savings on to you. This is an opportunity to get a phenomenal pistol that shows very little difference than a brand new one, at a price point well below market. Each pistol comes complete with full factory paperwork and carries a full factory warranty from Sig.
