Sig Sauer R716I16BTRD: Sig released the Tread lineup in 2018 with an AR-15 style rifle built off their m400 platform. They promised a plethora of accessories that would work with this rifle, and they did not disappoint. They marketed it as the perfect rifle for beginners and those wanting to learn more about how the AR-15 works and could trust the accessories they bought would fit it. If it had the yellow tread label, you knew it worked with your Tread rifle. Being constantly sold out, the Tread rifles quickly became one of America's most popular AR-15's. Since then, the gun community has been anticipating a release of an AR-10 variant to the Tread lineup, and in 2020 we finally got it. The 716I Tread is an amazing rifle; it is accurate, stylish, and incredibly light for being a .308 gas gun. It is a perfect storm for a tactical rifle that can reach out and touch someone. This handy rifle features a 16" tapered barrel threaded at 5/8x24" and is fitted with Sig Sauers three-prong flash hider that also acts as a suppressor mount for Sig's suppressors. The 716I is completely ambidextrous in its safety selector and mag release. The 716I receiver has dual QD mounts built into the back of the receiver so you can mount your sling on either side you need. What connects you to the rifle is a Magpul CTR adjustable stock and Sig's proprietary grip, which is more ergonomic than a standard A2 grip. The trigger is Sig's polished and hardened single-stage trigger which they claim is smoother and more accurate than a standard A2 trigger. A full-length Picatinny top rail makes mounting optics and sights a breeze. The 15" handguard features M-Lok the full length on the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions and utilizes Sig Sauer's barrel nut and locking system. This handguard is strong enough to mount IR lasers and other night vision devices with no fear of losing zero during heavy fire. What else is there to say other than don't wait these won't last long.
