The brake itself is machined from a single piece of 416 stainless and is tuned for efficiency without unnecessary weight. The three-port design keeps the brake short while allowing for an extremely high level of efficiency. The outer shroud of the sound mitigation equipment is made of Aircraft Aluminum, allowing for durability without adding weight. When the entire unit is assembled, it allows for complete control of dynamic recoil forces while keeping the pressure wave from the shot downrange. This allows for maximum recoil control and a hearing safe environment for your teammates or fellow shooters on the firing line.
Folks, this sound mitigation device from Witt Machine & Tool Co. is one of the most impressive pieces of kit I have seen in a long time. This model is built like a tank and is designed to withstand anything you can throw at it. Please note that this is not a suppressor. This device works by diverting the blast pressure downrange from the shooter like any standard blast forwarding device. However, with their design, the significantly reduces the heard decibels on the shooters' end since all the noise is being diverted in front of the firearm. In fact, recorded decibels at the shooters' ears with .223/5.56 barely registers over 130. Incredible! This blast forwarding is also great considering home defense or operating in a close-quarters environment.
