Brutus' Description

AR-15 Rifle .223 / 5.56 NATO Caliber Semi Auto Flat Top Rifle W / M4  Barrel, and  30 Round Mag  by Bear Creek Arsenal.

Chambered for .223 Wylde which accommodates Std .223 Remington as well as 5.56 NATO rounds. Beautiful Smooth Parkerized Finish. 1 in 9 twist rate on barrel is highly accurate with a variety of bullet weights.

This is bar none the best AR-15 Rifle Value in the U.S. today.

We have torture tested these rifles and I would put them up against anything being sold for reliability...

Now don't get me wrong... There is nothing fancy here... Just a basic M4 AR-15 Carbine... But if you want a great entry level AR, at a really great price....

Give this Bear Creek Arsenal  AR-15 a try. Ships complete with a Carbine Length AR-15 Hard case and 1-30 round magazine.... Standard M4- Flat Top Rifle....

Note : Rifle comes to us as a Flat Top and is sold as such. They ship with one 30 round mag in a hard shell case.

Note -  Stocks may not be as pictured.  AR-15 build componants are in short supply due to heavy demand. As such the Butt Stock on these rifles may vary depending on availability at the time that they were built. They will always be a T-6 collapsible stock but may be in different configurations by different manufacturers depending on availability. We do not offer an option on the stock and simply sell and ship them as they are received.

Some photo's show rifle with Rear Sight / Carry Handle, Halographic Electro Sight, or Barska 3x9x40 Scope Installed. These are optional and do not come with this rifle. They are shown here for demonstrative purposes only, but must be purchased seperately.

Scopes, Extra Mags, Drum Mags, etc... may also be purchased with the rifle. The scope you see in the photo's on the rifle is a Barska 3x9x40 Colorado series... This particular scope comes with rings and mounts up to this AR-15 right out of the box.... The rings it comes with are low profile so it makes for a very low profile scope package.... If you like for your scope to ride higher on the rifle just replace these factory rings with any medium or high ring set. Also, many people ask, do you not see the front sight through the scope??? The answer is no.. You do not... I don't know why, it is right there in front of the lens... but it does not show up though the scope... You have an unobstructed clear as a bell view downrange as far as the eye can see..... It must be magic... Note - We have tested these extensively and they work great, however, for some reason these rifles do not seem to like the Thermold brand mags... We recommend the Tapco, or C-Products mags..... Our Korean Military 100 round drum mags work great too.

The barrels on these are made from 4140 cold rolled steel and are very top end.

They are not chrome lined as most AR-'s are not. Chrome lining on modern rifles is typically used where there is a high probability of corrosive ammo being used such as AK type rifles chambered for foreign calibers...

Since chrome lining may slightly affect accuracy, and since most AR-15 rifles are designed with accuracy as a benchmark,
and since virtually all .223 / 5.56 NATO is non corrosive...most AR manufacturers do not chrome line barrels.

The rifle is nice out of the box. I dressed it up with some Magpul. Runs real nice and has shot out everything I have fed it. IE: Wolf, Tula, Federal, Independence, PMC. Would recommend it to anyone looking to get into the market. I have another video of me shooting it if you check out my channel.

Very happy with the rifle and the order
Review by Thomas on 6/25/14
Quality
After 200 or so rounds of steel cased .223 junk (tulammo, Monarch) with no jams, misfires etc. I posted a short video of a full mag dump (30) at a 10" X 14" steel plate @ 60 yds. with a cheap centerpoint red dot. I have no complaints as of yet. This rifle shoots well, arrived on time, (thank you classic firearms), and I will post another video later after 800-1000 rounds. I will raise my rating to 5 after putting more rounds downrange with no hiccups.

A great rifle for the money.
Review by Mitch on 5/14/14
Quality
Overall, this is a great rifle for the money. There are a lot of negative comments on forums about these rifles from people who don't even own one. Look at all the reviews on here and you will see that very few people are unhappy with these. I bought 2 of them and have different plans for each of them. At this price, you can afford to customize it to your needs without ending up with $2,000 invested int it.

Excellent AR, Excellent Price
Review by Robert on 5/4/14
Quality
Finally time to review. First off, I got it before the shipping got too bad--still a couple of weeks, but not the 6-8 it is at the moment (not really CF's fault). That's bad by Classic's high standards, but you cannot do anything about Supply and Demand: you get what you get when you delay your ordering, and they warned you in advance. The case was nice and big: plenty of room for the 5 extra mags I got along w/ the AR. Rifle was clean and nice--am so used to buying older rifles filled w/ cosmoline that I forgot what it was like to buy something new. NATO and .223 work very well. The only thing I had problems with was the really low grain .223. I had bought some Rem 45-grn .223 when I first got this rifle (did not notice the 45 until after) and it did not have the oomph to blast the bolt back all the way and cycle the next round. I told my buddy about this and he said he had never even heard of a 45-grn round of .223 before. Lesson learned. Tried regular 55-grn and everything worked as it should. Overall I am extremely happy for what I paid and got, cannot wait until I get red-dot or something similar on it and really get to go to town. Thanks once again, Classic!

This is an excellent AR-15, cost effective, excellent build quality, and great performance.

In this video we fired Bear .223 steel cased (a Russian ammo), American Eagle Federal .556 brass case, and BCL .223 once fired brass reloads. All ammunition typed fired very smoothly through this beautiful weapon.

At the range my local class 3 dealer and decided to throw the bca complete upper on his registered custom lower. And it ran flawlessly. Hope u enjoy the video.. has not stopped working
Review by The Man on 4/13/16

I was skeptical about this rifle because of the price, so i bought one because of the past reviews and it has not jammed nor failed even with cheap steel cased ammo. It is very accurate at 50 yards and can easily hit the target at 100 yards with iron sights, and I am not the best shooter. the rifle shipped out the day after i bought it, and it was very clean and had no scratches. Overall very good rifle.

Bear Creek AR-15
Review by Dave on 12/15/15
Quality
I've had my Bear Creek AR now about 8 months. It's a very nice rifle and the price is hard to beat. Now that I've had a chance to put at least 1,000 rounds thru it, I can say it runs very sweet. I had a slight wobble between the upper and lower, but a rubber O ring solved that issue. A cheap fix I found on U Tube. The other issue was the rear stock was also loose and rattled. Again I went to U Tube and found another easy fix using velcro. The weapon does not rattle at all now. I'm very happy with it. It is a little fussy about what mags you run in it. Some rounds tend to jam .I just changed the mag and it ran great again. For the money you can't beat this gun. I'd buy another one for sure. I put a red dot sight on mine and have been smiling ever since. I use mine for target shooting and love it. I will post a review soon on U Tube. Great gun for the $$$$.
Great rifle at a great price
Review by Dustin Y. on 12/3/15
Quality
Bought this rifle and had it in hand in just a few days. Great shipping as was the case on the last gun I bought from Classic. Went over the rifle with a fine tooth comb and cant find a single thing to pick on. Excellent craftsmanship throughout the entire piece. My only gripe is not with the gun, but with the magazine. The Tapco mag that shipped with the rifle is junk. It has a failure on every cycle. I tried several other mags that I already owned and it functions flawlessly. I definitely recommend the rifle, but would have a different magazine waiting on it when it arrived.
Good rifle for price

Stock is not up to par. Had to replace within first week, first time out came apart. Shoots everything but steel. Steel ammo locks up the bcg. Other than that no complaints. But warranty isnt thru classic its thru bear creek. But their turn around is very quick. Would buy couple more.

Best AR for the money
Review by Ryan on 9/20/15
Quality
I purchased this M4 because of the price, so I decided to take a gamble. I'm glad I did. The fit and finish of this rifle is better than DPMS, Bushmaster, and Spikes. The finish is kind of rough, but about 15 minutes and 0000 steel wool smoothed it out. Some people have complained about the barrel and the ramps but I haven't had a problem. I put Magpul furniture on it and the fit is amazing. There are no visible machine marks anywhere on the rifle and the tolerances are very tight. You will need punches to take the rifle apart when you first get it. I would buy this rifle over and over again if I could. I would even say that this rifle is nearly on par with my Sig 516. Go ahead and cringe, but it's true. If I ever have to buy another AR platform, then I will be buying another one of these and I will be telling all of my friends about it.
excellent rifle for the price
Review by richo on 9/17/15

Picked up my Bear Creek AR two weeks ago and can't believe the quality of the weapon. Fit was tight and perfect. shot very accurately right out of the box. Guys at the gun range could not believe what I paid for this AR...if you are looking for a budget minded AR that is high quality buy one of these before they are gone.
GREAT GUN EVEN GREATER CUSTOMER SERVICE
Review by Scott on 8/29/15
Quality
I picked up this BCA AR as my introduction into the world of ARs. It came quickly for a great price. Shot excellent. Now to my story: The front sight ended up being frozen when I tried to adjust it. In fact, it sheared off the teeth on my front sight tool. I contacted Classic Firearms and they put me into contact with BCA warranty department. BCA sent me a UPS return label and I boxed up the upper and sent it back. They got it back at 11am and by noon they had me a new upper on it's way to me. They told me that it was just easier to send a new upper then to replace the sight/gas block. I got the new upper and noticed the heat shield was loose and making a horrible rattling noise in the fore grip. I immediately contacted BCA again and they were going to have me send it back again and even have UPS pick it up this time at my house. I made the suggestion that they just send me a fore grip with a tight heat shield and I would install it myself. The new forearm came quickly and I stalled it. Everything is good with my BCA AR15 again. The gun is an entry level AR15. No frills or fancy bits, but hey you can add anything you like to make it your own. The real factor is the great customer service that I received from Classic Firearms and Bear Creek Arsenal. Was it a PITA to run to the UPS store to ship my upper back? Yes, but in the end I was treated like an old friend who needed help. BCA, a family business that acts and treats you like family.
Bear Creek AR-15
Review by JS on 8/21/15
Quality
Overall I am very pleased and impressed with this rifle. The finish is excellent and the upper and lower assemblies fit tighter than any other AR-15 I have owned (DPMS and Bushmaster), there is absolutely no play between them. The butt stock did come wobbly as others have stated however I believe I know why. After researching and comparing the buffer tube to another of my AR15s, I have concluded the buffer tube on this Bear Creek is actually a mil-spec buffer tube. The stock which comes with it is a commercial stock, hence the wobble because commercial buffer tubes have a larger diameter than mil-spec buffer tubes. All in all, for anyone who might think the loose stock is a detractor, all you have to do is purchase a mil-spec stock and the "problem" is solved. For 500 bucks, this is one of those purchases you will regret not making because this is a very nice, high quality AR-15. As always it is a pleasure doing business with Classic Firearms.

A great rifle for the money.

We bought 2 of these when classic had them for $499. These have a very nice finish and are a very high quality build. At the range my local class 3 dealer and decided to throw the bca complete upper on his registered custom lower. And it ran flawlessly. Hope u enjoy the video.. Classic firearms you rock n roll.thanks again
