Brutus' Description

AR-15 Rifle .223 / 5.56 NATO Caliber Semi Auto Flat Top Rifle W / M4  Barrel, and  30 Round Mag  by Bear Creek Arsenal.

Chambered for .223 Wylde which accommodates Std .223 Remington as well as 5.56 NATO rounds. Beautiful Smooth Parkerized Finish. 1 in 9 twist rate on barrel is highly accurate with a variety of bullet weights.

This is bar none the best AR-15 Rifle Value in the U.S. today.

We have torture tested these rifles and I would put them up against anything being sold for reliability...

Now don't get me wrong... There is nothing fancy here... Just a basic M4 AR-15 Carbine... But if you want a great entry level AR, at a really great price....

Give this Bear Creek Arsenal  AR-15 a try. Ships complete with a Carbine Length AR-15 Hard case and 1-30 round magazine.... Standard M4- Flat Top Rifle....

Note : Rifle comes to us as a Flat Top and is sold as such. They ship with one 30 round mag in a hard shell case.

Note -  Stocks may not be as pictured.  AR-15 build componants are in short supply due to heavy demand. As such the Butt Stock on these rifles may vary depending on availability at the time that they were built. They will always be a T-6 collapsible stock but may be in different configurations by different manufacturers depending on availability. We do not offer an option on the stock and simply sell and ship them as they are received.

Some photo's show rifle with Rear Sight / Carry Handle, Halographic Electro Sight, or Barska 3x9x40 Scope Installed. These are optional and do not come with this rifle. They are shown here for demonstrative purposes only, but must be purchased seperately.

Scopes, Extra Mags, Drum Mags, etc... may also be purchased with the rifle. The scope you see in the photo's on the rifle is a Barska 3x9x40 Colorado series... This particular scope comes with rings and mounts up to this AR-15 right out of the box.... The rings it comes with are low profile so it makes for a very low profile scope package.... If you like for your scope to ride higher on the rifle just replace these factory rings with any medium or high ring set. Also, many people ask, do you not see the front sight through the scope??? The answer is no.. You do not... I don't know why, it is right there in front of the lens... but it does not show up though the scope... You have an unobstructed clear as a bell view downrange as far as the eye can see..... It must be magic... Note - We have tested these extensively and they work great, however, for some reason these rifles do not seem to like the Thermold brand mags... We recommend the Tapco, or C-Products mags..... Our Korean Military 100 round drum mags work great too.

The barrels on these are made from 4140 cold rolled steel and are very top end.

They are not chrome lined as most AR-'s are not. Chrome lining on modern rifles is typically used where there is a high probability of corrosive ammo being used such as AK type rifles chambered for foreign calibers...

Since chrome lining may slightly affect accuracy, and since most AR-15 rifles are designed with accuracy as a benchmark,
and since virtually all .223 / 5.56 NATO is non corrosive...most AR manufacturers do not chrome line barrels.

An awesome purchase for the money!
Review by travisp11 on 9/12/2016
Quality
My BCA M4 performed flawlessly last weekend. Took it out of the hard case, disassembled it, cleaned and lubed it. Bolted on a cheap Bushness red dot sight and sighted in at 100 and 50 yards. Even though it was windy as heck (20-25mph north wind), The Bear Cree Arsenal performed well! I would guess that even with a moving target mount and bulk brass ammo, I was pulling off 1.5-2.0" at 50 yards. With a better dot sight or scope and higher quality ammo AND a not so windy day, she would perform even better. Recoil is minimal, the trigger feels almost like a two stage set up. You have maybe a quarter inch before you feel resistance and then a clean break. I fired a total of 140 rounds. 100 rounds of brass and 40 rounds of steel Tula fired through the Tapco magazine. I fired the brass through a 10 round Magpul Pmag until I ran out.

Overall, I am very, very pleased with my purchase! Check out my channel on youtube as I will be posting more BCA vieos.

If you ever wanted to take your AR-15 into the woods strapped to your back on a four wheeler but feared for the safety of your current range queen AR with fluted barrel and hydro graphics than your wish have been answered.
This is a highly reliable work horse that can take any thing you can dish out.
Zero buyers remorse in what is the most affordable AR you can get and Limited Lifetime Warranty too.

The rifle is nice out of the box. I dressed it up with some Magpul. Runs real nice and has shot out everything I have fed it. IE: Wolf, Tula, Federal, Independence, PMC. Would recommend it to anyone looking to get into the market. I have another video of me shooting it if you check out my channel.

Very happy with the rifle and the order
Review by Thomas on 6/25/2014

After 200 or so rounds of steel cased .223 junk (tulammo, Monarch) with no jams, misfires etc. I posted a short video of a full mag dump (30) at a 10" X 14" steel plate @ 60 yds. with a cheap centerpoint red dot. I have no complaints as of yet. This rifle shoots well, arrived on time, (thank you classic firearms), and I will post another video later after 800-1000 rounds. I will raise my rating to 5 after putting more rounds downrange with no hiccups.

A great rifle for the money.
Review by Mitch on 5/14/2014

Overall, this is a great rifle for the money. There are a lot of negative comments on forums about these rifles from people who don't even own one. Look at all the reviews on here and you will see that very few people are unhappy with these. I bought 2 of them and have different plans for each of them. At this price, you can afford to customize it to your needs without ending up with $2,000 invested int it.

Excellent AR, Excellent Price
Review by Robert on 5/3/2014

Finally time to review. First off, I got it before the shipping got too bad--still a couple of weeks, but not the 6-8 it is at the moment (not really CF's fault). That's bad by Classic's high standards, but you cannot do anything about Supply and Demand: you get what you get when you delay your ordering, and they warned you in advance. The case was nice and big: plenty of room for the 5 extra mags I got along w/ the AR. Rifle was clean and nice--am so used to buying older rifles filled w/ cosmoline that I forgot what it was like to buy something new. NATO and .223 work very well. The only thing I had problems with was the really low grain .223. I had bought some Rem 45-grn .223 when I first got this rifle (did not notice the 45 until after) and it did not have the oomph to blast the bolt back all the way and cycle the next round. I told my buddy about this and he said he had never even heard of a 45-grn round of .223 before. Lesson learned. Tried regular 55-grn and everything worked as it should. Overall I am extremely happy for what I paid and got, cannot wait until I get red-dot or something similar on it and really get to go to town. Thanks once again, Classic!

This is an excellent AR-15, cost effective, excellent build quality, and great performance.

In this video we fired Bear .223 steel cased (a Russian ammo), American Eagle Federal .556 brass case, and BCL .223 once fired brass reloads. All ammunition typed fired very smoothly through this beautiful weapon.

BEAR CREEK ARSENAL
Review by BigAl on 12/24/2016

I ordered my rifle 2015, I decided to save a few bucks and got the all parts kit directly from BEAR CREEK ARSENALMY FIRST RIFLE BUILD! After the build i picked up some cheap steel cased ammo at my local WALL MART! BIG MISTAKE! the first shell casing stuck in my barrel, after reading BEAR CREEKS warenty ,It plainly states not to use steel cased ammo. AFTER i bought a steel rod to drive casing loose and purchased some BRASS CASED 50cent more a box ammo my rifle cycled like a dream. AWESOME RIFLE ,AT THAT TIME i had $420 in basic flat topped rifle, added carry handle and few more add ons like SIG S LASER FOREARM GRIP etc I HAD THE PERFECT AR,WOULD BUY AGAIN,HAD GOLD ENLAYED BEARCREEK ENGRAVING,BEAUTIFUL AR,CHECK OUT PICTURES 50- 51 on purchased BEARCREEK ARs to see! Below Bearcreek Rifle in CLASSIC FIREARMS for pics with SIGS forearm grip laser and custom laser engraved 6 position stock!!! WILL BUY ANOTHER AND DEFINATELY WOULD RECOMMEND FOR PRICE RANGE!!

My buddy has a S&W AR that he bought around 8 years ago for $1500. This rifle is just as good quality if not better. There's no day light between top and bottom receiver as well as no play. Both receivers still break apart easily with out the help of any kind of tool. This is the cheapest fully built AR you will find on the market which may make you a little sceptical, however I took the chance and I couldn't be any happier. I spent 5 years in the US Marine Corps with 2 deployments, one to Iraq and I would trust this rifle in combat.

I wanted to give my review after putting some rounds into the gun. Now that I am over 1000 rounds, I have to say this gun is awesome. I haven't had 1 malfunction and have had no problems. With the money I saved, I had money for the upgrades and scope. I've shot this against my friends Colt AR and it is just as accurate and smooth at a much better price point. Might have to get another!

My first AR 15
Review by Steven on 8/10/2016

I received my rifle on Friday. I just had a chance to go to the range today to try it out.
It seems to fire correctly. My problem is me, not the gun. I bought a BSA Red and Green Dot Sight. I have never used a sight before. So i am having a hard time sighting in. Once I zero it in I will give a better review. So far I am happy with the rifle.
I am truly happy with the service from Classic Firearms. I will purchase from them again.
Love it

Took a while to get, but how that I have it , it looks and feels great. Been 30 years sence I picked up a rifle like this. Brought back a lot of memories. Have not had a chance to fire yet, just had knee surgery so will be a few weeks before that happens, but doubt very much I will be disappointed. A very solid build.

Bear Creek Arsenal review
Review by FTC/SS on 7/14/2016
Quality
So after reading the reviews and watching You Tube Video's, I took the plunge and decided to buy this AR.
Why this buy this one over other AR's in the market? here is what I looked at: Price, reviews, lack of feed issues, basic version few options, accuracy.
What did I actually get after shooting the Rifle? Great price, Accuracy (very nice groups 6 in round targets only a few fliers in the outer ring, Open sights no scope at 50 and 100 Yards) No feed issues, At the range where ejection of spent rounds is a consideration this rifle sent them between 1 to 2 o'clock so as to not hit your shooting partner.
Classic you once again delivered a great gun at a very good price.

Having ordered other items from Classic, including a recent Bulgarian Makarov, I know that I would have no issues. Placed my order a few days after the Orlando incident, motivated to get a low-cost AR with all of the discussion about banning them! Ordered on a Thursday, delivered to Dealer the following Thursday. Ordered an extra mag and 500 rounds on the same day...that took two weeks while the AR shipped in 1. Love the extra bonus of the black plastic case, AR fits nicely along with 4 mags. Taking it to the range next week. Thanks Classic.
Finally have it
Review by Chris on 6/1/2016

I bought this on4/26/16 and Just picked it up 5/31/16 at my local FFL here in California. Although I waited way too long for this it wasn't Classic firearms fault. It took a couple of weeks to ship and then the California 10 day ticker started on it. BTW, I think the 10 day wait period should not apply to online purchases, but that's what I get for living in Communist Cali. The weapon is a really solid and after cleaning it up a bit and adding some CLP this thing has smooth action and functions perfectly. Haven't had it to the range yet, but will hit it before the week is out. Mine came with a carry handle, hard case, 2 mags, the original mag release button, and the three shells used to functions test the weapon. Great weapon!
Shoots All Steel Case Ammo
Review by UNAVAILABLE on 5/31/2016
Quality
I read hundreds of reviews about this AR and never got the answer I was looking for on whether or not it was reliable with various steel case ammo. I bought the rifle anyways and decided to do a test myself. The rifle functioned perfectly with no FTF or FTE with TulAmmo, Brown Bear, Silver Bear, and Golden Bear ammo. Other brands have yet to be tried but I am more than satisfied that I can stock up on cheap ammo versus expensive brass case. The price is right for both the rifle and the ammo. Do yourself a favor and buy now before November when it'll be twice the price (or out of stock).

I worked for over a year getting the pieces to build my ad 15 I bought a BCA complete upper and married it a PSA lower. I'm in love with this rifle. classic is correct about the thermold mags, I got one when I ordered the upper and kept getting FTF, got a P-mag and haven't had any issues at all. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase, classic firearms is a great site and will be getting my buisness. thank u for making this guys dream of owning a ar-15 come true.

I was skeptical about this rifle because of the price, so i bought one because of the past reviews and it has not jammed nor failed even with cheap steel cased ammo. It is very accurate at 50 yards and can easily hit the target at 100 yards with iron sights, and I am not the best shooter. the rifle shipped out the day after i bought it, and it was very clean and had no scratches. Overall very good rifle.

Bear Creek AR-15
Review by Dave on 12/15/2015

I've had my Bear Creek AR now about 8 months. It's a very nice rifle and the price is hard to beat. Now that I've had a chance to put at least 1,000 rounds thru it, I can say it runs very sweet. I had a slight wobble between the upper and lower, but a rubber O ring solved that issue. A cheap fix I found on U Tube. The other issue was the rear stock was also loose and rattled. Again I went to U Tube and found another easy fix using velcro. The weapon does not rattle at all now. I'm very happy with it. It is a little fussy about what mags you run in it. Some rounds tend to jam .I just changed the mag and it ran great again. For the money you can't beat this gun. I'd buy another one for sure. I put a red dot sight on mine and have been smiling ever since. I use mine for target shooting and love it. I will post a review soon on U Tube. Great gun for the $$$$.
Great rifle at a great price
Review by Dustin Y. on 12/3/2015

Bought this rifle and had it in hand in just a few days. Great shipping as was the case on the last gun I bought from Classic. Went over the rifle with a fine tooth comb and cant find a single thing to pick on. Excellent craftsmanship throughout the entire piece. My only gripe is not with the gun, but with the magazine. The Tapco mag that shipped with the rifle is junk. It has a failure on every cycle. I tried several other mags that I already owned and it functions flawlessly. I definitely recommend the rifle, but would have a different magazine waiting on it when it arrived.

Best AR for the money
Review by Ryan on 9/19/2015
Quality
I purchased this M4 because of the price, so I decided to take a gamble. I'm glad I did. The fit and finish of this rifle is better than DPMS, Bushmaster, and Spikes. The finish is kind of rough, but about 15 minutes and 0000 steel wool smoothed it out. Some people have complained about the barrel and the ramps but I haven't had a problem. I put Magpul furniture on it and the fit is amazing. There are no visible machine marks anywhere on the rifle and the tolerances are very tight. You will need punches to take the rifle apart when you first get it. I would buy this rifle over and over again if I could. I would even say that this rifle is nearly on par with my Sig 516. Go ahead and cringe, but it's true. If I ever have to buy another AR platform, then I will be buying another one of these and I will be telling all of my friends about it.

Picked up my Bear Creek AR two weeks ago and can't believe the quality of the weapon. Fit was tight and perfect. shot very accurately right out of the box. Guys at the gun range could not believe what I paid for this AR...if you are looking for a budget minded AR that is high quality buy one of these before they are gone.
GREAT GUN EVEN GREATER CUSTOMER SERVICE
Review by Scott on 8/29/2015
Quality
I picked up this BCA AR as my introduction into the world of ARs. It came quickly for a great price. Shot excellent. Now to my story: The front sight ended up being frozen when I tried to adjust it. In fact, it sheared off the teeth on my front sight tool. I contacted Classic Firearms and they put me into contact with BCA warranty department. BCA sent me a UPS return label and I boxed up the upper and sent it back. They got it back at 11am and by noon they had me a new upper on it's way to me. They told me that it was just easier to send a new upper then to replace the sight/gas block. I got the new upper and noticed the heat shield was loose and making a horrible rattling noise in the fore grip. I immediately contacted BCA again and they were going to have me send it back again and even have UPS pick it up this time at my house. I made the suggestion that they just send me a fore grip with a tight heat shield and I would install it myself. The new forearm came quickly and I stalled it. Everything is good with my BCA AR15 again. The gun is an entry level AR15. No frills or fancy bits, but hey you can add anything you like to make it your own. The real factor is the great customer service that I received from Classic Firearms and Bear Creek Arsenal. Was it a PITA to run to the UPS store to ship my upper back? Yes, but in the end I was treated like an old friend who needed help. BCA, a family business that acts and treats you like family.

Overall I am very pleased and impressed with this rifle. The finish is excellent and the upper and lower assemblies fit tighter than any other AR-15 I have owned (DPMS and Bushmaster), there is absolutely no play between them. The butt stock did come wobbly as others have stated however I believe I know why. After researching and comparing the buffer tube to another of my AR15s, I have concluded the buffer tube on this Bear Creek is actually a mil-spec buffer tube. The stock which comes with it is a commercial stock, hence the wobble because commercial buffer tubes have a larger diameter than mil-spec buffer tubes. All in all, for anyone who might think the loose stock is a detractor, all you have to do is purchase a mil-spec stock and the "problem" is solved. For 500 bucks, this is one of those purchases you will regret not making because this is a very nice, high quality AR-15. As always it is a pleasure doing business with Classic Firearms.

Got the gun in about a week out in WA state, I was impressed right away and the FFL felt the same. I have now fired 1000 yards through it with not a single malfunction of any kind. I put a magpul backup sight on it and the thing is highly accurate. I would put this up against my colt any day. The only down side to the gun is the stock is cheap and wobbly but it does not affect the performance of the firearm, the castle nut is not staked and got loose after 200 rounds so I tightend it and staked it on the spot, not a problem anymore. I love this gun and I am very happy with my purchase. Classic Firearms is great and its always a smooth process buying from them, thanks BCA and Classic.
Sloppy 6 position Butt stock

Fit and finish excellent. Shot 350 rds thru it with no problems. Would of gave it a 5 but the 6 position butt stock was super sloppy on the one I got. Contacted sales about this and was told. The actual stock part on these rifles will feel much "sloppier" than a high end Magpul product.. Oh well.

When I first received my rifle, I had to send it back due to rifle not cycling properly. They paid for shipping and I had the rifle back within a week or so.

Since then I've put about 1,000 rounds through it. I have a SiteMark red dot on it too. It shoots accurately, consistently, and flawlessly. The rifle is well built. I would recommend this rifle over many other pricier models.

I bought two of these rifles after reading many positive reviews on them. Upon arrival i cleaned them and did a thorough inspection of the rifles. Both were well built and the finish was better than expected. Do not get any ideas though. These are basic, bare bones carbines. No complaints here, and they were exactly as described. Once i got them to the range though, things started to get interesting. One of the two ate through m855, m193, and several mags of my varmint reloads without a problem. Its shot very well too, probably about a 1.5 moa with iron sights, and to be honest, i wasnt trying for microscopic groups. The other rifle is a different story. That one is a problem child. It fed m193 ok, but refused to feed and fire anything else. It absolutely hated my reloads, while my custom AR and its twin sibling just loved the loads. I know what youre thinking... Reloads... Im very anal with my hunting ammo reloads and go to great pains to ensure they are very consistant. The bolt refused to lock fully into battery, would have a failure to feed, or would just refuse to do anything reliably. Popped those same rounds into its twin, and they fired without a hiccup. Even switched out BCGs with its twin to no avail. Im going to see if a few more mags of m193 will help to break it in, otherwise im contacting the company for repair. I gave it four stars simply because im very happy with the fully functional twin and cant complain at all about the excellent value. Overall, great job yet again Classic.

Great firearm very well made. Tighter fit between upper and lower than most high dollar ARs I've shot. Shipping was slower than expected but no biggie I guess. The case is flimsy and not well made but serves its purpose if u want to keep it from bouncing around. Stock has some wiggle in it but for price u cannot beat it.

Wish they had a heavy barrel version. Love the MMC Version but it likes 556 62 gr best. Stay away from Independence ammo and only use brass.

I was skeptical of this rifle, but for 500 dollars I decided even if it sucked pretty badly, it was worth the money. I've been spoiled by cheap AK-pattern rifles, so shelling out a grand+ for an AR15 has been distasteful to me.

I have been thoroughly impressed by pretty much everything this rifle has going on. Its fit-and-finish are on par with my Colt AR15. Its accuracy is comparable. I've put about 500 rounds through it personally, both reloads and factory loads of 5.56 and .223. Only one failure, which was a failure to extract on a Wolf steel case. So that one really isn't the rifles fault.

POI, even right out of the box, was only about 3 inches higher than expected at 100 meters. A quick dial-in and we were shooting sub-MOA groups with Federal ammo. Wolf ammo was right around MOA, and various hand-loads were all over the place. This was consistent with my Colt (Except for Wolf, which the Colt puts around 1.5-2MOA).

The trigger leaves a bit to be desired, but for a straight-off-the-line, stock rifle, it's better than it needs to be.

The *only* criticism I have is that it seems to not dig on steel cases in general. This might be an issue that goes away as the rifle becomes more worn in. I'll update down the road if that changes.

Across the board, this is as good as, if not better than, a run-of-the-mill Colt straight from the factory. I'd recommend investing in an aftermarket trigger, some fancy furniture, and leaving it alone.

Outstanding weapon. The weapon is beautifully constructed and shoots like a dream. Shot both brass and steel case flawlessly with zero issues. Popped on a MBUS and had it zeroed in 8 or 9 rounds at 100 yards and the silhouette targets are totally dead! Love this AR and wish I'd have bought two at that price. Thanks once again Classic - this is like the 8th or 10th weapon I've purchased form Classic in the last 5 or 6 years . Exceptionally great service and the shipping was like lightening. I'll be back for more folks!

First off ClassicFirearms was very easy to do business with, the service and overall timing and handling of the order was excellent will definitely do business with them again, Now about the gun.. .. It finish seems nice and durable, fit of the upper and lower is snug the action is smooth, but the stock is absolute junk ive never felt such wobble in a stock before of course you could just put your own on but still an annoyance, and now to the mag well, the gun comes with a tapco mag which fits decent but still has a slight wobble, i know they warned about using just tapco mags but i figured if its milspec it should be fine with magpul pmags.....i was wrong the wobble with pmags is unbelievable its to a point which i cant just ignore . The rifle however shoots great no hangups at all ran through 150+ rounds 5.56 and .223 (all 55gr) no problems overall the gun is good for $520 shipped from classic and whatever your ffl charges its still not a horrible purchase but if you want something that needs less work out of the box id go a different direction and if you do get one DO NOT BUY MAGPUL PMAGS for this gun you will regret it , i woud give it 4 stars just because its still a great deal, but that mag well issue needs to be addressed its just nonsense the tolerances are way out so it gets 3

I bought this rifle because it had 108 good reviews so lets make it 109. this was my first transaction with classic and they just made a customer out of me. I received the rifle 4 days after I made the order! The rifle is a basic Barbie but I dressed her up with magpul furniture and a vortex sparcII off ebay on the cheap. Took it to the 50 yard line and got her zeroed in with less than a full cap mag. I put another 3 mags dwn range after zeroing in the optic and all the rounds were bullseye in a 1 inch group. no fails. infact ill be putting another one on layaway right now. great deal.

Very good turn around from Classic in processing my order. Received the rifle, field stripped, inspected and cleaned it before shooting. Excellent form and fit of the component parts. I was impressed. This rifle is of higher quality than the M16's I worked on in the US Army. Shooting went well with no FTF or FTE in 250 rounds. I am not a real fan of any of the AR platforms, but I am a fan of quality of manufacture of any gun. The Bear Creek Arsenal makes more than decent weapon at a great price point.

The look and finish of this AR is great. The upper and lower mount really well and do shake. There is a rattle from the butt stock though. I have not fired the rifle yet but when i do, I will update my review. I am giving it 4 stars only because the barrel is not chrome lined (Which I was aware of) and like I stated earlier I have not run any rounds in it. Overall, I am extremely pleased as of now.

Just received our rifle from our local FFA today. First impressions are very good. Quick lookover (only popped the rear pin) at FFA made a good first impression. Waited for background check, paid transfer fee, blah blah, bought some cheap steel-cased Tula ammo to try it out with everything possible (already stocked up on a few brands of good brass-cased stuff), then went home with it. The case is kinda chintzy (but hey, it's a free case with a $500 AR!), but seems pretty solid when closed and latched, and looks good. To the meat of the matter- took the rifle out and went to the kitchen where I have more light. Tore it all down and took a closer look, and again, very impressed. Everything seems very high-quality. All seems to be as specified. Very little light or wiggle between upper and lower, BCG has a nice fit and seems to have a very good action. Trigger seems very good too, light but noticeable increase in pressure before it releases the hammer. f I had a gripe so far, it would be that there's a fair amount of wiggle in the buttstock. This is my first experience with any gun with an adjustable stock, so maybe it's normal? Pull it tight to your shoulder and that goes away anyhow.

I purchased a BCA AR-15 when first available on the advice of my gunsmith. He does not sell guns so trust his judgement. I am so glad I did. It feeds perfectly, never any problem with any mag I have used. Its also very accurate. It does not have a chrome lined barrel but unless one shoots corrosive ammo I don't consider that a problem. It is by far the best starter AR on the market In my opinion.

I was finally able to get out to the range yesterday after buying this AR back in February. The gun performed perfectly, no issues at all, I tried a few different brand of 223, all of them seemed to feed and fire without issue. This gun seems to eat up anything that is put through it. Classic did a great job getting it shipped out, it took about a week to ship but i suspect it was during very heavy volume as they as several killer deals going during that time. Either way, gun was delivered within a few week of ordering, and came exactly as advertised, thanks Classic! All in all, I would recommend this gun to anyone looking to make their first AR purchase, this is my first gun and is a great place to start!

Bought this due to positive reviews on other websites, the price and the features. I needed something to build off of and this was a perfect choice. The fit, finish and function are as nice as my Rock River Arms. All my additions bolted right on and required no modifications.
I wish it had a chrome lined barrel, but I clean after each firing so it doesn't matter. The free case is pretty light plastic, but it's nice to have it included. The price dropped right after I ordered it, but even at $40 more I'm glad I bought it.

I bought one of the guns last year as a Black Friday special. They were still called Moores Machine. I'm happy with the weapon except.....................it will NOT shoot steel case ammo. Brass and nickel work great, but for some reason it will not shoot steel case ammo. To be fair, there are other AR's that don't like steel either. I wrote to Bear Creek and asked them for help, but haven't heard anything back from them.
I've run about 600 rounds thru mine and it's very accurate. I purchased the top handle and just ordered a Leeper mount so I can put on a red dot. I just buy the better ammo now. I have 600 rounds of steel case I need to get rid of.

This is only my second AR-15 (my first was a Vietnam era clone that I purchased about the same time) and I have to say that this rifle is everything that I wanted it to be. I was looking for a quality built, inexpensive AR-15...nothing fancy, just something that would place bullets downrange accurately and reliably and this rifle does just that. I have no problems with magazines. 30 round Tapco, 20 round Thermold (marked Thermold and Master Molder), and 30 round military surplus aluminum mag...this rifle likes them all! My only complaint with this rifle is that the stock isn't all that comfortable on my cheek so I may one day change it out for a more comfortable one. All in all, if you are looking for an inexpensive, accurate, reliable rifle you can't go wrong with this one!

Excellent shooter with iron sights only (I purchased the UTG carry handle to go with).

Also, this thing LOVES Thermold mags. I had read somewhere on here that this weapon did not care for them. Thermold is the ONLY magazine I use on my AR-15 platforms. There is a catch...read on...

Note: NOT all Thermold magazines the same. Look for D&D Inc., Wilson N.C. USA on the magazine to get the good ones. Thermold was sold back in the day and the new owners changed the formula regarding the plastics. I've heard terrible things since the sale.

Note2: I've NEVER had any issues with thousands of rounds run thru the many magazines that I own. Never a FTF. Never a jam.

***ONLY BUY D&D Inc., Wilson N.C. USA*** This is located on the lower "port" side of the magazine.

Not a bad gun for the money, except mine had a bad BCG. It would jam every other round. Tried 4 different brands of ammo, 4 different brands of mags. Then changed the BCG with an Armalite from my safe and now it works great. Thought they were going to warranty it or something, but it's been weeks since I've heard from them. So I sold it. I bought a kit after I sold it and the BCG in it was good, so I just got a bad BCG. It happens. But was not pleased with the lack of customer service

Then the rifle came out. I have owned Colt and Bushmasters and currently have a SIG 516. Although this is no SIG it looks just as good as the Colt or Bushmaster. Very tight, clean, smooth and crisp. Ok heres the deal...I read all the reviews on Classic about this rifle prior to purchase. I also read the reviews on AR15.com and Carbine.com, etc about this rifle. This is not a high dollar Noveske, BCM, Barnes, etc AR. However if you are just getting into AR's or you are a doomsday prep guy or if your buddies all have AR's and you want to just go out and shoot with them from time to time. This is the AR for you. I was lucky enough to get one at the $499 price which to my FFL cost. $520 SMOKING DEAL. Right after i got it i put all Magpul stuff on it and sent about 150 rounds of steel case, 5.56, .223, blah blah blah. ZERO JAMS, MALFUNCTIONS, ETC and also maintained a tight group with only iron sights. I was skeptical about this at first and now I wish i would have bought 2 more at the $500 price. dont let the "high dollar AR reviews" scare you away from this rifle. even at the $569 price you are getting a solid AR for the price. take that extra money you saved and make it your own with sights, furniture, ammo, mags WHATEVER. great product, great price, very happy customer. enough said!!!!!!

Took this AR-15 to the range and shot Federal 5.56X45 NATO rounds. With a small tactical scope, it took 3 rounds to achieve zero. The center mass had one big hole in the very middle of the target after 60 rounds, so I just had to put 30 more rounds into that same area. I have a couple of .223 Saigas that are fun to shoot, but not nearly as accurate as this Bear Creek Arsenal AR-15. This is now my "go-to" rifle when accuracy is a must, especially when keeping coyotes away from the livestock. Thanks again, Classic Firearms and thanks Bear Creek Arsenal for a fine AR-15 at a very , very reasonable price!
Very well made and shoots great.

This rifle does not look like a $500 rifle could look. In fact, it compares favorably to my SW M&P model. The phosphate is uniform everywhere, no tool marks on the exterior or interior of the receivers. The bolt carrier is definitely M16 style. Everything came wellpackaged in the hard case, inners were properly lubed; barrel needed cleaning. Appearance is awesome. The trigger is spongy, but consistent at around 4 pounds. Will see how this shoots next weekend and update the review.

I still have not heard anything from mine but this is a GREAT deal and cannot wait to get this AR-15 out to to the range. I hopeful to hear something very soon. I have ordered other firearms with Classic and received items fast and in GREAT condition. Thanks Classic Firearms.

This is my SECOND review, because our family members have purchased a total of 5 of these guns and I am pretty sure that we will be getting at LEAST one more, very soon!

One important detail that I see missing in the Classic Firearms description of this rifle is the fact that it has the M-16 style bolt carrier! THAT is a bonus too!

Don't even think twice, fellas, grab one of these great rifles ASAP!

Thanks again, Bear Creek & Classic Firearms!

This is by far the best deal out there today. The fit and finish on this weapon is superb. Everything fits together nicely without any slop. I am very impressed with this and I wish I'd have gotten two. It shoots like a dream as well, very accurate. Even with the price increase this is still a hell of a deal. I could not be happier. Thanks Classic Firearms, and thanks Bear Creek Arsenal. You have really outdone yourselves this time.

Shipping was about a week. This rifle has a nice finish, great size versatility and fun to shoot. Trigger pull is smooth. The core of the rifle is flawless. Action is smooth, fitting is tight with no gaps or rattling. Very accurate and with the factory sights I easily shot half dollar groups at about 100 yards after initial sight in. The case is nice and sturdy.

There are a few negatives in my opinion. The tapco stock is cheap and leaves a little to be desired. The tapco mags do not seat tightly into the magwell and have to be pushed up and forward for the ammo to feed properly. If not, the round coming out of the mag catches on the bottom of the feed ramp. I picked up a MagPul 30rd mag and have had no misfeeds in the subsequent 200 rds through it since. The lower on mine scratched very easily.

These few things aside I'm very happy with this purchase and have really enjoyed it. This is an exceptional deal. I have and will reccomend it anyone looking for an affordable and reliable AR-15.

Just got word that Classic is shipping my newest AR. Thanks Rick. Thanks Amber. Your business model should be emulated everywhere.

I made this purchase based on the strength of the Classic writeup, and the significant number of positive customer reviews. I fully expect to be blown away by the quality of fit and finish, tight upper/lower assembly, and quality of the bore and bolt carrier. BUIS is on the way also for this flattop. Will update this review after delivery and about 500 rounds sent downrange.

Plan to shoot various factory loads, Federal Lake City green tip, and 4 different handload recipes. Looking forward to a noisy afternoon and some shredded targets and exploded milk cartons.

Thanks Classic for a great deal and your truly exceptional customer service.

I got this gun from the FFL about a month ago, and tested it out to the range a few weeks later. After putting it through 150 rounds of 5.56, this gun definitely exceeded my expectations. It was accurate, reliable, and very fun to shoot. I absolutely love this rifle, and definitely the best value you can get for a semi-automatic rifle for the money.

Classic Firearms definitely did a great job getting this product shipped out in a week. I will definitely purchase from them again.

First purchase from you guys and everything went as smooth as could be.
Great rifle for the money, good fit at upper and lower, rifle was clean, and properly lubricated right out of the box. Took it to the range the same day, broke it in and had no problems, this rifle shoots very well. The barrel is stamped .223 wylde as in the description (but pictured barrel stamped 5.56 nato) it shoots both with the wylde chamber, so I am satisfied it is as described. You just can't beat this deal. If you're thinking one over, just get it. Has a UTG pro butt stock, properly staked gas key, the tapco mag fits and works great, my other brand mags fit well also, even tried the brand they mentioned doesn't do well, and it works fine. The finish is good. I will shop with you guys again. Thanks for having a good rifle at such a great price !!!

Purchased rifle about a month ago, had a little delay in shipping due to inclement weather on sellers end but it arrived within a couple of weeks. Took it to a Patrol Rifle Operators course through neighboring police department, put about 600 rounds through it during the course. Using a flip up rear sight I had a 2 click adjustment off combat zero and shot the highest overall in the class. Had zero issues with the weapon and now use it as my duty rifle. Best buy for the money!

I was impressed with the craftsmanship of this AR-15 from Bear Creek Arsenal. When I told my FFL that is was a $500 Ar-15, his response was, "Looks like you have done extremely well with this purchase price and quality of this AR-15." Told him it was from Classic Firearms and, at that time, they still had some for that same price. Would not be surprised if he ordered one for himself. Taking it to the range at the end of March. Thanks again, Classic!

Bear Creek Arsenal, Centerfire Rifle.

ClassicFirearms is outstanding. And from what I can tell so is BearCreek. Shipping at the time was super fast. Payment and processing was super easy. My FFL was impressed with the Rifle as was my Army buddie. Would order more if I had the flow.

Pros;

--All received as advertised
--Brand new Centerfire Rifle for under $600. After shipping was $520. After FFL fee $560
--The fit and finish is Perfect throughout the platform, the BCG looks very reliable
--The Grip on the lower is not like traditional grips. I have large hands and most do not fit and I replace them with Magpul MOE. This one fit my hand perfectly before replacement
--Comes with, Sling attachments, Bayonet mount and a fixed front sight. All outstanding for a new  Rifle
--Hard case is nice

Cons;
--Cannot say so far, looks good. Will take it to the range and follow up with any issues if any arise.

Other;

--Came super super greasy, not sure what was slathered all over it. Had to clean it dry then apply CLP function tested smooth after this. (wear gloves)
--Classic doesn't offer an alternative to the 30rnd Mag. It was shipped to my FFL in CO and my FFL kept it. Luckily I have plenty of Magpul mags.
--The Buttstock kit seems to be made of Billet. The spec states "commercial spec". Came with Tapco collapsable stock
Great price, wife loves it!

I purchased this AR after much consideration with the fact that it is made by the former MMC. After all that I had read on the web about the company I was a little apprehensive. I purchased the gun on Saturday and it arrived at my FFL on Thursday. When I got there to pick it up I dug into it and gave it a scrutinizing once over. I was impressed with the quality of the finish and the materials used. I took it out to the range on Sunday and ran 300 rounds through it. I did not have a single problem with the thing and I really like the trigger pull. The gun is very accurate. I am happy with my purchase. I would buy it again. In the end I think that is what matters. I am glad I went with the reviews of the others that purchased this gun. Thank you Classic and Bear Creek Arsenal for such an amazing deal.

I picked mine up at my FFL on friday. it looked great in the case I mounted a 3-9x 40 bushnell on it and took it out saturday afternoon. The rifle functioned flawlessly. I only ran about 50 rounds thru it but I was still impressed by it. I would buy another if the funds permitted. Even with an upcoming cost increase at 550-600.00 this is still well worth the money. The only thing i will change is the optics. I couldn't find what i wanted over the weekend and had the scope from a savage axis that I acquired last week also. So I slapped it on with a set of weaver high mount rings. Shooting from a sitting position, the gun rested on an archery target I was over lapping bullet holes at 50yd I know it perfrom well when I have time to set up some longer ranges. Thank you Classic Firearms and thank you Bear Creek Arsenal.

For anyone wondering about the accuracy of the gun, I tested it from 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 yards. I used a 3x9 scope with Burris rings with pos-align inserts for long distance shooting. At 100 yards I shot sub MOA. I zeroed scope at 150 yards with it still shooting 1 MOA. By the time I was at 300 yards I was shooting one MOA on gallon milk jugs on my first shot once I dialed in my scope for that yardage. This gun has the accuracy, so the shooter will make or break how well this gun performs with accuracy. I was shooting American Eagle .223 55 grain FMJ, so other ammo might not work as well, I am not sure. So far gun has not had any issues I am aware, it has performed flawlessly. I might look at ordering another one if I can make it work. Overall a great gun at a great introductory price.

I received the AR cleaned it and put a UTG A2 style rear sight on the rifle, took it to the range put five rounds through it before making any sight adjustments from mechanical zero. Four of the five shot went into the X and 10 rings. I thought that was very good for a rifle right out of the box.

First and foremost, Classic Firearms has absolutely the best customer service!! Thank you so much for getting the rifle to my FFL. I've owned AR's in the past and the fit and finish of this product is terrific. I was able to find extended rails and a great rear sight plus the CAA saddle for the buttstock to give it the same look as a $1500 (before add on) rifle I had before. The rifle was disassembled and cleaned. I plan to take it to the range this upcoming weekend to give a shooting/functionality review.

I can't believe how nice this rifle is. I have 3 other brand name AR's and this fit's right in with all of them. This is a great rifle, I wish they would make an A2 version of this AR. I like having iron sights. Flat tops cost more money in the end because you have to supply sights, and they always need adjusted. I love iron sights and I can't believe people buy guns with no sights, but when they are this good and this inexpensive, I'll make an exception.

So take this for what it's worth...this is my first AR and I haven't shot it yet. First, I had the misfortune of ordering at the end of the years biggest snow storm. It took Classic a week to send it. However, communication was excellent. Once they sent it shipping was very fast and inexpensive.

I held a lot of higher end AR's and mid grade AR's before ordering. This one looks as good as anything else I've held for 2-3x's the price.

When the gunsmith I transferred this through saw it he was blown away. He said nothing out there could touch the value. He started off with a carreer in the Marines and finished as a law enforcement officer. Now he builds AR's as a gunsmith in retirement. He knows his stuff. Every guy that sees this wants to order one.

I'll update if I have any issues with the breaking in process.

Take the leap. You won't be disappointed.

I got one of the last rifles when they were still MMC(same gun).I got it in like 4 days, I bought extra mags and a carry handle with sight. ran 200rds. of Federal American Eagle through it as fast as I could, ate em all with no problem. For a $500 gun with a case and great service I am very happy. The only negative point was for the finish, I think it could be better, but that does not effect the performance of the weapon. If I had more cash I would buy 5 more! Very Happy THANK-YOU.

After 200 or so rounds of steel cased .223 junk (tulammo, Monarch) with no jams, misfires etc. I posted a short video of a full mag dump (30) at a 10" X 14" steel plate @ 60 yds. with a cheap centerpoint red dot. I have no complaints as of yet. This rifle shoots well, arrived on time, (thank you classic firearms), and I will post another video later after 800-1000 rounds. I will raise my rating to 5 after putting more rounds downrange with no hiccups.

    Review by Robert on 5/3/2014
    Quality

GREAT GUN EVEN GREATER CUSTOMER SERVICE
    Review by Scott on 8/29/2015

    Bear Creek AR-15
    Review by JS on 8/21/2015
    Quality

Fit and finish excellent. Shot 350 rds thru it with no problems. Would of gave it a 5 but the 6 position butt stock was super sloppy on the one I got. Contacted sales about this and was told.

    Excellent Bargin!

    Good gun for the price.

    Pros;

    Cons;
--Cannot say so far, looks good. Will take it to the range and follow up with any issues if any arise.

    Other;

First and foremost, Classic Firearms has absolutely the best customer service!! Thank you so much for getting the rifle to my FFL. I was able to find extended rails and a great rear sight plus the CAA saddle for the buttstock to give it the same look as a $1500 (before add on) rifle I had before.

For a $500 gun with a case and great service I am very happy. The only negative point was for the finish, I think it could be better, but that does not effect the performance of the weapon.
