The Beretta J42XN18, also known as the A400 Xtreme semiauto shotgun, is perfect for both upland or waterfowl hunting and target shooting. This shotgun is highly efficient, offering quick follow-up shots due to its well-constructed action. The built-in rails allow for the easy installation of optics. A standout feature is its Blink technology, which allows shooting at a speed 36 percent faster than any other semiauto shotgun.
The shotgun's synthetic stock is a combination of Beretta's Kick-Off system and a super-soft Micro-Core butt-pad, designed to greatly reduce recoil. This butt-pad design also reroutes the recoil in a parallel direction to the cheek mount for minimized discomfort. The barrel features an OptimaBore HP finish, developed specifically to endure various conditions, including water, powder, sand, and salt spray.
This A400 Xtreme Plus model showcases the exclusive Steelium Plus barrel from Beretta, offering unparalleled patterning from all hunting loads, and further reduces felt recoil. The barrel is also designed with a step rib that includes an essential mid-bead and fiber optic front bead and lengthened forcing cones.
Additionally, the stock is furnished with a soft comb to lessen the amount of felt recoil on the shooter's cheek. The A400 Xtreme Plus comes with an extensive loading port, extended charging handle and bolt release, and Aqua Technology. This protective coating ensures that the firearm can withstand severe weather conditions. This particular model features a 28" barrel, five (5) black extended Optima HP choke tubes, and Optifade Timber stock and receiver.
