The Chiappa CF340285, also known as "The Rhino", is a revolutionary addition to the world of revolver technology. What sets it apart is its capability to fire from the bottom of the cylinder, unlike traditional revolvers that fire from the top, which significantly cuts down on muzzle rise and recoil. This is accomplished by positioning the axis of the bore nearly in parallel with the shooter's palm. The use of an aluminum alloy for the frame and barrel shroud ensures that the Rhino remains lightweight for handling and carrying. The "hammer", despite its deceptively snag-resistant design, acts more so as a cocking tool due to the Rhino's unique enclosed firing mechanism. Firing can be done either in single or double action. A visible cocked indicator provides information on the state of the internal hammer. A key characteristic is the hexagonal cylinder, maximizing efficiency by keeping the width of the revolver at a minimum. The model comes equipped with a fiber optic front sight as well.
This particular single action version comes with a barrel length of 3", a OD green finish on the frame and barrel, a black cylinder, and a grip made from walnut.
