The Dark30 Defiance 640 PTZ Thermal Camera is a vehicle-mounted thermal imaging system designed for wide-area observation and scanning from an elevated mounting point. It uses a 640x480, 60 Hz thermal sensor with 17-micron pixels paired with a 30 mm F/1.0 germanium lens, delivering clear thermal images to an included 10.1-inch 1920x1200 LCD display via a low-latency HDMI connection. The pan-tilt platform enables continuous 360 panning and tilt from straight downward to 45 degrees above horizontal, while 1-8x digital zoom, five selectable color palettes, and app control through the Dark 30 app support flexible viewing and control in the field. Built with an aluminum housing rated IP66 and powered by 12V DC, the system integrates easily into vehicle setups with ports for a TF card, dual HDMI outputs, and dual DC connections, and it supports mounting via permanent bolts, suction cups, or strong magnets.
