The Magpul MAG538-GRY is our MOE SL Hand Guard, designed exclusively for AR15/M4 firearms equipped with a carbine-length gas system and an A2 front sight. This hand guard offers unrivaled modularity due to its M-LOK accessory slots, all wrapped up in a design that is both lightweight and cost-effective.

Constructed from a reinforced, heat-resistant polymer, this hand guard has the robustness required for operations but without the additional cost or weight of an alternative aluminum rail guard. It even includes an integrated riveted aluminum heat shield. With M-LOK slots positioned at two, six, and ten o'clock, users have the option to add optional Picatinny rail sections and other M-LOK direct attach accessories, making it straightforward to mount tactical lights, slings, grips, and more.

This hand guard also features a large front extension and lower lip for added user protection against the heat generated by the front sight assembly, while optimally utilizing the available hand guard length. It's easy to install, making use of existing delta ring and round front hand guard retaining cap with the A2 front sight assembly.

Please note that this model, the MOE SL Hand Guard Carbine-Length, is a direct replacement for M4 Carbine-type plastic, two-piece hand guards. Although not compatible with piston operated AR platforms, it utilizes the existing round front hand guard retaining cap and rear spring-loaded delta ring. It must be used with the triangular A2 front sight assembly, as other gas blocks are not compatible, and any factory sling swivel must be removed from the A2 front sight assembly if installed.
