Magpul MAG551-FDE MOE SL Mid-Length Hand Guard AR15/M4 Flat Dark Earth Polymer/Aluminum

The Magpul MAG551-FDE is an MOE SL Hand Guard, designed specifically for AR15/M4 firearms equipped with a mid-length gas system and A2 front sight. It offers a modular design that supports the addition and customization of M-LOK accessories, making it a versatile addition to your firearm. This hand guard is not only sleek and lightweight but also cost-efficient. It's made from a robust, heat-resistant polymer that offers the same durability as an aluminum rail hand guard, minus the higher weight and cost.

Designed with the user in mind, this hand guard features M-LOK slots positioned at the two, six, and ten o'clock areas. This design allows the addition of optional Picatinny rail sections and other direct attach M-LOK accessories. It provides ample space for tactical lights, slings, grips, etc. In addition, its substantial front extension and lower lip protect the user from the hot front sight assembly while maximizing the usable length of the hand guard.

This hand guard is also designed for ease of installation. It utilizes the existing delta ring and round front hand guard retaining cap with the A2 front sight assembly. It's important to note, the Mid-Length MOE SL Hand Guard is a suitable replacement for most factory plastic, two-piece, mid-length hand guards. However, it requires a Round front hand guard retaining cap and rear spring-loaded delta ring for installation. This means it's not compatible with firearms equipped with a triangular retaining cap or piston operated AR platforms.

To use this hand guard, the A2 front sight assembly is required as other gas blocks are not compatible. If so equipped, the factory sling swivel must be removed from the A2 front sight assembly. All Magpul products are proudly made in the USA.
