The Magpul MAG620-FDE, also known as the MOE AKM Hand Guard, serves as a versatile replacement for the hand guard on standard AK-47/AKM/AK-74 pattern rifles that come with a front sling loop on the hand guard retainer. This hand guard boasts an expanded gripping section, and is constructed from a robust, heat-resistant polymer. It comes with a black oxide-coated stainless steel heat shield that is integrated into its design.

To suit different mounting needs, the hand guard is equipped with M-LOK mounting capability and a replacement gas tube cover. It features slots positioned at the three, six, and nine o'clock orientations to accommodate direct-attach M-LOK accessories or M-LOK 1913 Picatinny rail sections. Additionally, it is compatible with the factory cleaning rod and includes a replacement polymer top cover that pairs well with the UltiMAK Optics Mount top cover.

Kindly note, the MOE AKM Hand Guard is specifically designed to replace standard hand guards found on AK-47/AKM/AK-74 pattern rifles and can conveniently utilize the existing hand guard retaining cap with or without the sling loop. Given the wide assortment of AK variation and tolerances, minor fitting adjustments might be necessary. However, it's important to note that this model doesn't support Yugo pattern rifles, RPK style receivers, and milled receivers.
