Beretta Model 1934-1 Used, Semi-Auto, .380 ACP, 7+1 Capacity, 3.5" Barrel - Surplus Good Condition : The Beretta Model 1934 is a classic piece of military history, representing Italy’s standard sidearm during World War II. This compact, semi-automatic pistol was adopted by the Royal Italian Army in 1934 and saw extensive service throughout the war. Its design focused on simplicity, reliability, and ease of use, making it ideal for officers, non-commissioned officers, and machine gun crews who required a dependable sidearm. Chambered in 9mm Corto—better known as .380 ACP—the Model 1934 delivers modest recoil and effective close-range performance. Its compact size made it easy to carry and conceal, while its all-steel construction ensured durability in harsh battlefield conditions. With its unique Italian styling and historical significance, the Beretta 1934 remains a sought-after collector’s firearm and a testament to early 20th-century European arms design. If you're into military surplus or historic pistols, this one’s a true wartime icon. These pistols ship with a 7rd Magazine. These particular pistols have been graded NRA Surplus Good. The Beretta Model 1934 showcases the distinct open-slide design that has become a hallmark of Beretta pistols, contributing to its notably reliable feeding and extraction cycle. The elongated top slide cutout doubles as the ejection port, enhancing its mechanical efficiency. Engineered with simplicity in mind, the M1934 is constructed from relatively few parts, making it exceptionally easy to disassemble, clean, and maintain. Its robust steel build gives it impressive durability and a long service life when properly cared for—qualities that made it a dependable choice for soldiers in the field. Chambered in 9mm Corto (.380 ACP), the M1934 fires a cartridge that is less powerful than standard military calibers like 9mm Parabellum or .45 ACP. However, its mild recoil and compact size make it ideal for roles where a full-size combat pistol isn’t necessary. The single-stack magazine holds 7 rounds, but the pistol's reloading process has a notable quirk: once the empty magazine is removed, the slide no longer stays locked to the rear. Unless manually held open using the safety, the slide will snap forward, which can slow down reload times in fast-paced situations. Despite this, the M1934 remains an iconic sidearm—compact, rugged, and historically rich. It served its purpose well in the hands of Italian forces and continues to hold value among collectors and enthusiasts of vintage military firearms.
