Hey everybody, Clint here with Classic Firearms coming at y'all today with another brand highlight or more of a manufacturer highlight of Ruger. Yes, the same Ruger arms Sturm Ruger that makes pretty popular firearms like the 10/22, mini 30, mini 14, all of these cool guns, but I want to start it off with something that's brought it more into the spotlight, more into the headlines recently within the last couple of years. And, that's the Ruger 57 pistol. And, I am a huge fan of this guy. So first off, the only other pistol chambered in 5.7x28 has been the FN 57, which as we all know is a pricey little guy, when you can find them. And, Ruger came out with the 57, their model 57, that actually features an Ambi safety, couple of other different features and more features than the FN model at a better price point so pretty cool stuff.

History

Now, Ruger has been around since 1949, making all sorts of cool guns and they're actually one of the very few gun manufacturers here in the US that's actually publicly traded as well. And, speaking of trades, just go ahead and leave your comments down below about the entire GameStop thing. Anyway, so here we are got the Ruger 57, 20 rounds of 5.7x28. And overall, a great little cartridge, fast moving little guy. We've had plenty of videos done about 57 and the PS90, things like that. So, if you're looking for more information on the five, seven caliber, go check out how effective is 57, because we got that video too. Anyway, something else I like really a lot about the model 57 here by Ruger is the fiber optic front sight. Great site picture all around large pick a tinny space on the bottom. And, of course you got that nice little slide cut right up top. Really cool pistol. And, I definitely recommend it for those that are wanting to play with. I'll say it one more time, 57.

Ruger 10/22

All right, now, like I mentioned to the 10/22 has been something that I think Ruger has just been known for. Talk about an excellent plinker, a fun shooting gun. You can turn these things into Bullpups if you want to. There's so many accessories and features and all sorts of things about these guns that just make them a lot of fun. And, the newer models are take-down models that come with like a backpack and everything, and it's easy to just break them apart. Great for out in the woods or a survival type rifle, things along those lines. This one that I have right here though, is just a very basic 1/022. Comes optics ready with the pick a tinny mount up top. And, the reason I've got this guy in my hands when I'm talking about it is because this is the one I chose to test out when Franklin Armory sent it to me, it's quite a bit of fun though. The 10/22 binary trigger and yeah, you can have a lot of fun with the .22, the 10/22 and the Franklin army binary trigger. These little Ruger, 10/22s have a nifty little mag that comes with... It's flush, fitting and everything, which is cool and all, but we also got some pro mags here that are 35 rounds. So, that's a lot more suitable for all binary trigger. The reset is actually going to be the hammer falling and sending another round down range. So, firing once and then releasing the trigger. Boom. Yes. Let's do that again. How about it? Come on. Yes. So yeah, you can have a lot of fun with this guy with that binary trigger installed. Throw you on a couple extended mags and just go have some fun at the range. I grew up with a 10/22, I grew up with all sorts of 22s, a couple of Henri's as well. And, the first semi-auto rifle that was considered mine and going out into the woods and play and everything was a 10/22. So a great gun for new shooters if you want to teach them the basics, the fundamentals, safety, things like that. Highly recommend, or if you're just looking to save on some ammo, which I totally get during this time. Yeah, you can do that with the 10/22 also.

Ruger PC Charger

Another cool gun that Ruger has come out with and they've come out with all sorts of neat things recently. The PC Charger, another take-down type gun semi auto chamber to nine mil 40. You can get it to accept different types of magazines, like the SIGP 320 Glock mags, all sorts of cool stuff. The PC Charger is a really neat gun. Looks weird, that's for sure. But after shooting one myself, it's actually pretty awesome. Like I said, also a take-down collapses and becomes a real small, easy to transport type unit and you quickly assemble it, load up a couple mags and you're ready to hit the range. Also comes optics ready as you can see over here, and you can throw on optics, whatever you want, all that type of stuff. Threaded barrels as well, so if you wanted to shoot suppressed, you can, all right? Really neat stuff.

Ruger SR 556

And of course, Ruger makes popular firearms like the ever so popular here in the US, AR-15. They got real popular with the Ruger SR 556, which was a very neat line that they offered. This is just their DCI system, which is the ruder AR 556. And, this one specifically is the free floated M-LoK version. They also have the ones with the standard, A2 front sight and kind of the irregular Delta ring assembly. But this guy here, I like quite a bit. And, one thing I really do like about it is the grip that it comes with. It's not your standard basic A2 grip with that little neural knuckle crusher thing right here. Not a good time. But, this does have a little bit more of a beaver tail on it and a whole lot more ergonomic and comfortable. Also too, they offer a enlarged trigger guard on this, guys. You can see that slight curve there and the meetup between the grip and the trigger guard and the lower receiver is really comfortable. Super ergonomic for something right out of the box. Carbon length system on it, 11 inch unlocked rail, 70-75 T6 aluminum, upper and lower receiver, cold hammer forged barrels they also offer on their which is really neat. And, so if you're looking for a good basic AR-15, first AR you're not looking to spend thousands of dollars, no frills or anything like that, optics ready, then definitely take a look at this guy here. My preference between the standard one with the Delta ring hand guard, A2 front sight post, or the M lock rail, you're going to get a little bit better accuracy out of this guy simply because it's free floated. So, that makes sense, but really, I don't know, I own a lot of different free floated versus not, and I love them all. So I don't know, just go out there and get a few of them, I guess.

Ruger AR 556 Pistol

But, if you're more into like shorter barrels, they also offer the AR pistol. The AR 556, still chambered in 5.56 of course, a little bit shorter rail, obviously because it's got a 10 and a half inch barrel on it, but pretty much everything the same I said before about the standard AR 556. That's free floated except shorter barrel and also the SBA3 brace, which again, I am a huge fan of. Comes with one 30 round mag and just a great American made products by an American company, all right?

Ruger Mini 14

Also to the mini 14, mini 30 series, I'm a huge fan of as well. My actual first ever semi-auto purchase was a Ruger mini 14. One of the tactical models because I thought I was high speed. And, you've since learned that they're actually starting to make mini 14s chambered in 300 blackout, which I think is super cool. They do offer the mini 30, which is pretty much the same thing as the mini 14, but chambered in 7.62x39. So, all sorts of cool offerings coming from Ruger in a semi auto platform, which again, I think is just a lot of fun. And like I said, Ruger has been around since 1949. Very popular gun manufacturer and they just keep making all sorts of cool stuff. And, I hope to see more things like the FN 57 come out because I really enjoy this pistol. And, speaking of pistols, yeah, I am definitely a fan of Rugers pistol line as well. They've got several the SR 9s their 1911s are great. Me, personally, for maybe some competition style shooting or just again, more fun plinking, check out their 2245 series. It's like a 45 as far as the 1911 grip style goes, but it's chambered in .22. I've had a few of those. Again, they're just so much fun just to sit there and run and shoot and very low maintenance as is most of their firearms. They're just quality stuff. And again, I personally highly recommend Ruger. Fun stuff, right? Now, again they offer a huge line of different firearms. So, hope I've covered most of it here, but just again, wanted to spotlight this manufacturer, because well, they're just great stuff and I've owned a lot of their equipment and products personally so I figured I need to go talk about them some. So there you go. And, also too again, check out the Franklin army binary trigger. If you've already got your 10/22 and you want to get that installed and go have some very high speed fun, you can do that.

You're getting two, Guard Dog Body Armor level four ceramic plates and the plate carrier. This is the Shepard plate carrier with the Swift clips, quick disconnect type system, which is really cool. Also two, yeah, the Zenith Z5 RS with the Franklin armory binary trigger installed as well because I love binary triggers. And, the SB tactical PDW brace Trijicon MRO with the 3X magnifier and the Midwest industries, M lock rail. Two 30 round mags, this thing, it's sweet guys. It's real sweet. Also, like I said, it's a complete loadout. So, you're also getting a level 3A ballistic helmet also by Guard Dog Body Armor. So, don't miss out on this guy because, you might not have another opportunity to get one of these. I mentioned in the video announcing this as our giveaway, that Zenith is no longer distributing the Zenith Z5 out of Turkey or from Turkey all made on HK Tooling. So, pretty much a Turkish MP5. It's not a clone. It is an MP5 made in Turkey. Pretty cool stuff, right? I did that wrong. There we go. Anyway, quick little note of safety, the claw mount that I've got installed on here so you can mount the optics to, make sure you go out there and train with it. Maybe train with gloves. I got a booboo plan with it, some during the giveaway video, but it's okay. It's a mark of love from an MP5 so I'm cool with it. Excuse me, a Zenith Z5.
