The Winchester 535757208, also known as the XPR, is a revolutionary rifle designed to meet the needs of the most discerning hunters. This robust and no-frills hunting instrument will facilitate successful hunts for many seasons. It is the physical manifestation of the longstanding quality associated with Winchester Repeating Arms, all encapsulated in this feature-laden bolt-action rifle.
At the core of each XPR rifle lies Winchester's M.O.A. Trigger System. Constructed from polished and hardened carbon steel, with a blued finish for corrosion resistance and resilience, this system comprises the core of the trigger housing and all internal components. The M.O.A. also comes with a conveniently placed two-position safety for easy thumb operation while shooting. The rifle further incorporates a bolt release button situated just before the safety button, facilitating the cycling of unfired cartridges even while the safety is engaged. This system is further complimented by a cocking indicator on the bolt shroud which provides both tactile and visual cues of the firearm's cocked/uncocked status.
The formidable XPR bolt is meticulously crafted from chromoly steel barstock. Following heat-treatment, it offers three front locking lugs and a short 60-degree lift, affording improved scope clearance during cycling. To enhance smooth operation and corrosion resistance, the bolt features a tough nickel Teflon coating. The glove-friendly one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame, combined with the button-rifled chromoly steel barrel, ensure excellent accuracy with an array of bullet weights and types. The barrel is fully free-floating, removing any pressure points that might compromise accuracy.
The XPR also comes with a drilled and tapped chromoly steel receiver, synthetic stock fitted with an Inflex Technology recoil pad, and a detachable single stack box magazine for optimal convenience. The Stealth model of the XPR further adds a Picatinny scope rail, increasing the versatility and appeal of this reliable hunting companion.
