Original side folding wire stock and original AMD style heavy compensator. 7.62x39 Caliber. - We are calling these a Budget Rifle due to the finish, not the quality. They shoot great but the finish is a little mis-matched - See extended description for full details.
We are so proud to offer this high quality AMD-65 variation AK rifle built on a world class Nodak Spud receiver. Rifles are professionally finished and feature a new U.S. made barrel and highly desirable U.S. trigger group. This Side Fold ( AMD-65 Version ) features original black polymer grips with a wire folding stock. , while our Fixed Stock ( AMD 63 Versions ) all have the original black grips and a U.S. made stock. This variation ships with 1-20 round U.S. manufactured MAGPUL AK mag. Note : These rifles are built from original surplus part sets. Metal components have been professionally parkerized to a like new finish however furniture is original and may show some rub or finish wear. Trust me though, overall these are nice. These rifles come to us with 1-20 round Magpul mag and so that is the way we ship them. Twenty round mags are original to this rifle and line up nicely with the grips so it gives the gun a really cool look. Thirty round mags will fit just fine and work great as well but are a little awkward to insert . They will go in and out but must be maneuvered around the forward grip. Still they do work. Why do we call it a Budget Rifle ? - Well, here's the deal. The parts sets that we are utilizing to build the rifles are the same parts sets that we were selling less receiver etc, as a build kit on the site up until recently. Those parts were pre-finished with a parkerized finish..... i.e the receiver cover, the barrel, the gas tube, the compensator, etc... are all parkarized. On the other hand, the Nodak Spud receivers that we are utilizing in the build were blued with a black oxcide finish. As a result these rifles are somewhat two toned with the upper barrel assembly being a slightly different shade of black and a slightly different texture, than the receiver itself. We weighed re-bluing everything to match but that of course would have increased cost and a brief survey of the guys on staff indicated that everyone here would rather sacrifice a little bit in the way of matching cosmetics, to maintain a great price point. And these are at a great price point. NImages and video attached will show the rifles exactly as they are. Frankly some people never notice it, while others are more particular.... either way what you see is what you get. Other than the slight variance in the cosmetics, these are fantastic rifles. The AMD series of AK rifle is lightweight , accurate, and highly maneuverable along with featuring what is probably the finest AK muzzle break ever designed. Very limited quantities... Get yours today.Note - A 20 round AK mag is utilized with this rifle as the 20 round is what was originally issued with the rifle. Thirty round mags will fit and function in the rifle but the additional length on the 30 round mag may make insertion a little awkward due to the position of the forward vertical grip.
