Franklin Armory has pridefully set itself apart from other firearm manufacturers by creating firearms and firearms products specifically to address the restrictive laws in some states. This appeals to potential gun owners in states that would otherwise not allow the purchase of certain firearms and firearms components. Franklin Armory has a stable of innovative engineers that find solutions to states with restrictive gun laws. These solutions provide citizens of those states the right to purchase and own firearms that they otherwise would not have access to. Franklin Armory believes in offering customers products that allow them to exercise their Second Amendment rights to the most legally and allowable extent of the law. A few months ago, I wrote a short article about Franklin Armory's Binary Firing System. I was in awe after seeing Clint shoot it at Shot Show 2020. I was so impressed with their technology, I want to share more with you about Franklin Armory and their products.

THE BINARY FIRING SYSTEM

Franklin Armory BFSIII HK-C1 Binary Firing System

If you are talking about an AR build lately, your friends in the firearms community are likely going to ask if you are going to put a Binary Firing System in it. If you don't know what a Binary Firing System is; this is an excerpt from my article about them: The Binary trigger system has a three-mode safety selector. The SAFE selection is Mode 1, the SEMI selection for semiautomatic is Mode 2, the BINARY selection is Mode 3. Selecting Mode 3 means that the firearm will fire one round when you pull the trigger and one round when you release the trigger. The Binary trigger, when firing, appears to be some sort of machine gun feature, but it is not. The definition of a machine gun is a firearm that fires in rapid succession for as long as the trigger is held back. Firing quickly with the Binary trigger will give you a similar sensation of firing a machine gun. This firing system is so advanced that other firearms manufacturers are starting to include it in their rifles. Although it may be assigned a different name, due credit is always given to the premier manufacturer of the original Binary Trigger System' Franklin Armory.

FRANKLIN ARMORY COMPLETE RIFLES

The Company primarily offers systems and assemblies for an AR platform. Don't listen to the naysayers, I can assure you that AR platforms are still as popular as ever and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. For the most part, Franklin Armory produced firearms are divided into two categories. Firearms in one category are machined, while firearms in the other category are forged. They have many rifle models, so I want to highlight a couple for you.

FRANKLIN ARMORY F17
-

The F17
made its first appearance about 6 years ago. Upon its release, the F17L was the only semi-automatic AR-style piston-driven rifle to be chambered for the Winchester Super Magnum (.17 WSM). Other F17 models released after the F17L have also been chambered for this round. The WSM continues to grow in popularity.
Although the F17
looks like a typical AR, it functions differently. The custom-built bolt carrier and the proprietary magazine is specific to the F17
, as a unique expansion and alteration of the original.
