Why Our SHOT Show 2023 Coverage Is A Bit Different This Year (YOUTUBE STRIKE)

Recently, Classic Firearms received its second YouTube strike in as many weeks - which unfortunately means we are unable to upload videos to our main channel during SHOT Show 2023. 

The good news? We have a second channel, Outside The Warehouse, where our team is bringing you the same great coverage as in years past. There are a few other places you should check as well. 

What You Need To Know About Classic Firearms' SHOT Show 2023 Coverage

In addition to uploading videos to our second channel, Classic Firearms will be posting to Vimeo and Rumble. This content is no longer deemed "YouTube friendly," as our video team (as well as many other guntubers) have been impacted by the arbitray enforcement of anti-2A policy on the platform. Here are just a few things that are now more or less prohibited:

• Threading on a suppressor
• Inserting or removing a magazine
• Indirectly mentioning a website where firearms and accessories are sold
• 30rd magazines (must be 28rds or less)

These guidelines have far-reaching impliactions for the online gun community as well as the firearms industry itself. YouTube has effectively banned videos demonstrating proper handling and maintenance, reloads, etc. and content creators who receive multiple strikes risk losing their channel permanently.

Coverage of SHOT Show 2023 will now live on our second channel, Outside The Warehouse. Any content that may risk a strike will be shared on Vimeo and Rumble for the time being, so be sure to subscribe on both platforms to receive all the latest updates from the SHOT Show floor.
